Trilogy: Stages of Life

Trilogy: Cycle of Life

This project follows the different stages one experiences in life. The first part is about inspiration at an early age, the next part focuses on when childhood dreams are accomplished, and the third part is about paying it forward.

Victoria edited videos of a kid watching a UFC fight and training.
Gabriel took the videos of the kid watching the UFC fight and training. He also helped create the Photoshop images.
Michael helped Gabriel make the Photoshop pictures.

Part 1: Inspiration

The first part of the trilogy shows a kid watching a UFC fight and training to become a UFC fighter. It is supposed to represent someone getting inspired at an early age.
To improve the video, snippets of a child training to be a UFC fighter were incorporated as well as more transitions. The sizes of the different video clips were also made to look more consistent.

Part 2: Motivation

The second part of the trilogy is supposed to represent the kid in the first part of the trilogy as an adult who is following his passion as a professional UFC fighter.

Between the first and the second drafts, the background was changed to make the image look more like a poster, and the image of the kid from part one was added to show that it was the same person. Between the second and third drafts, the kid was made more visible, and names were added to the poster.

Part 3: Dedication

The third part of the trilogy shows the kid from the first part of the trilogy as an old man who has retired from fighting and teaches kids how to fight.
Between the first and the second drafts the "ghosts of the past" are made more visible and they have been moved closer to the old man to show that they are all the same person at different stages in life. Words have also been added to make it clear that Luis owns the gym he's teaching the kid in.
